About Us

Thanks for visiting our site.  I’m James Roderick.   My family recently purchased and operates the Collinsville Sale Barn. My son, James “Bear” Roderick oversees livestock check-in and works the ring, my wife Emalee is in the office and I cover the rest.  Born and raised in Oklahoma, our family moved to Collinsville in 2000.   Since moving here, we had been spending our Saturdays at the Sale Barn every chance we got.  Buying and selling livestock or just visiting with the fine folks that come there, Saturdays at the Sale Barn was always the best part of our week.

After many years of operating the Sale Barn, Roy Dickey and his wife Lisa decided to retire and spend more time at the ranch.  I know it wasn’t an easy decision for Roy to make,  but my family and I are happy he decided to sell to us and we are proud to be the new owners.

We have made several changes at the Sale Barn.  We gave the place a fresh coat of paint, installed new padded seats and added digital scales that weigh the livestock before they enter the Sale Ring.  We have two television monitors. One that display the gross weight, number of head, and average weight of the livestock you are bidding on and the other displays the final sales numbers.  We have also computerized the office and all of the recordkeeping to better serve you and the grill now offers breakfast and lunch.
